Law Enforcement Seminar Series:
This seminar focuses on topics of interest to law enforcement
practitioners.
Roundtable and Workshop Series:
A Roundtable and Workshop Series is offered during the course
of the year on a range of topics relating to criminal justice
issues, prevention and intervention strategies for community residents,
service providers, and policy-makers.
Writing for Effective Prosecution:
Developed by the University of the District of Columbia after
consultation with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, this course
is designed to eliminate report writing problems which can hamper
prosecution of cases.
Train-the-Trainer Program:
This course is targeted towards law enforcement trainers and instructors.
It is intended to enhance skills in course development, preparation
and presentation.
Diversity Awareness & Sensitivity Training Program
(DASTP):
The DASTP is designed to strengthen the skills of public safety
employees in working with their local community.
A key component of this program is its strong human relations/inter-action
emphasis, and involvment by community organizations and advocacy
groups.
